Charity Tavolata for education.
On 12 June 2025, various top chefs will be conjuring up vegetarian delicacies from surplus food from the "Schweizer Tafel" at the fourth Charity Tavolata in the Pestalozzi Children's Village.
The Charity Tavolata will feature award-winning chef Zineb Hattab from Restaurant KLE, pastry chef runner-up Vanessa Schnyder from Confiserie Roggwiller, Beda Röthlisberger from Culinarium Alpinum and the Pestalozzi Children's Village kitchen team. While Pat Burgener will lead the evening musically, various educational contributions from the children's village will accompany the breaks between courses, and you can look forward to an evening full of enjoyment, exciting educational contributions and breathtaking views - all for a good cause.
The Charity Tavolata combines food with education. Various top chefs conjure up vegetarian delicacies from surplus food from the Swiss food bank. In an idyllic atmosphere, you will experience culinary highlights, musical entertainment and all for a good cause. For education.
The detailed programme will be presented at a later date.
You can buy tickets via Eventfrog. Please note that the number of places for the Charity Tavolata is limited.
Children and young people have been meeting peers from abroad in our exchange projects since 1996. In doing so, they engage intensively with similarities and differences and learn about new perspectives and living environments. Through experiential educational activities, they reflect on their own values, question exclusionary behaviour and deal with prejudices and stereotypes. In the process, they learn strategies for non-violent conflict resolution - a formative experience that will stay with them for a long time.
A ticket is required for admission to the Charity Tavolata. This can be purchased here. The charity tavolata starts at 6.00 pm. The number of seats is limited
We recommend travelling by public transport as parking spaces are very limited. The railway stations "Gfeld" and "Trogen" are a 5-10 minute walk below our village.
The charity tavolata takes place whatever the weather. If the sun is shining, take a seat outside in the centre of the children's village. If the weather is bad, we will make sure that you don't get your feet wet and stay completely dry.
