Expertise and
knowledge
Social and personal skills
programme promotes intercultural skills and sensitivity to social diversity, strengthening self-confidence, independent thinking and questioning prejudices as well as awareness of children's rights.
Strengthening the Group
Creating radio programms strengthens the group spirit. After the programme, we have strengthened the ability to work together as a group. In addition, values and competences such as empathy, openness and respect and dealing with and resolving conflicts are further developed. In this programme, we focus on reflecting on the relationship between I, you and we. The participants thus increase their willingness to take action against everyday injustices, racism and discriminationDealing
Dealing with the media
Participants learn how to deal with their own media use, deepen their thoughts, opinions, experiences and knowledge in the form of media contributions, publish these in the form of their own contributions, taking into account the rules and value system in radio, and at the end assess the impact of their own media contributions and their consideration in production.
Developing creativity
media and radio project offers particular added value in the extracurricular education sector by activating the imagination and creativity of the young participants through the format "Radio is cinema in the head". In contrast to visually oriented programmes, which focus on technology and image design, the focus here is on language, storytelling and depth of content. This creates an authentic media experience in which children and young people learn to formulate precise and self-determined messages.
Future-orientated education
Direct curriculum relevance manifests itself in the promotion of key skills: Digital media use, teamwork, critical thinking and creative design are taught in a practical way. Through participatory work processes, participants not only acquire methodological and interdisciplinary skills, but also a greater awareness of democratic participation and political involvement. In this way, power_up radio makes a significant contribution to the sustainable strengthening of media skills and supports the personal and social development of young people.
