The youth club in Wald and Rehetobel is open to all children and young people from the 5th class up to the age of 16 free of charge and without prior registration. The open youth work Wald - Rehetobel is managed by the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation. The foundation runs open youth work for several communities in the Appenzellerland and offers professional development and management of open youth work within this framework.

What and for whom is open youth work?

Through open child and youth work, children and young people are accompanied, supported and encouraged through relationship work on their way to independence. Spaces are created in which children and young people can pursue their specific needs in contrast to adults.

Projects and events

You can launch projects or events together with the open youth work. Or you can join their program. You can send your ideas directly to Nina Hoch.

Offer

In addition to a bar where drinks and delicious food are available, you will find a table football, billiard table, music system, handicraft materials, comfortable sofas to chill out and much more in the youth center.

The youth clubs in Trogen, Wald and Rehetobel are open alternately on the following days. The exact opening hours can be found on the TWR page.

Interkulturelle Austausch Projekte_Projekte Schweiz

Around 6,000 children and young people take part in the projects at the Pestalozzi Children's Village in Switzerland every year. Topics such as freedom of expression, anti-racism or discrimination are dealt with in a way that is suitable for children, and prejudices are broken down in face-to-face encounters. Three quarters of the projects are financed by private donors.
