What began in 1946 as a humanitarian gesture by Switzerland in response to the suffering of war orphans in Europe is now a unique Swiss non-profit organization whose work creates access to good, equal education for all children and young people in Switzerland and around the world.

Creating sustainable access to education and knowledge is the focus of our work. With our long-term educational programs in Switzerland and in twelve selected countries worldwide, we ensure that children and young people have the opportunity to receive a good quality education.

The current magazine not only contains exciting stories from all our project regions, you will also find facts and figures about our year 2023.

The children's and young people's radio powerup gives children and young people a voice and makes them heard. School classes spend individual project days or a whole week in the radio studio in the children's village, or the radio bus stops at the school.

Our Charity Tavolata returns for the third round. On 20 June 2024, culinary highlights will be served again at the Pestalozzi Children's Village.

We are there for you in our visitor center at the following times: Monday to Friday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note our special opening hours on public holidays on the website of our visitor center.
